The Standard of the West Since 1879: The Justin Boots story began in 1879, when H.J. Justin moved to Spanish Fort, Texas to pursue a career as a boot repairman. With a natural talent for boot making, H.J. soon established his own boot company, Justin Boots, which operated out of his home to cater to passing cowboys. Recognizing the potential for expansion, H.J. moved his family to Nocona, Texas after a railroad was built there, in order to access a larger market. In 1908, Justin Boots became a family business when his sons, Earl and Avis, joined the company. With their combined efforts, the company doubled its production within just two years, and started selling its boots in 26 states, as well as in Mexico, Canada, and Cuba. Seven years after H.J.'s passing in 1918, his sons relocated the company headquarters to Fort Worth, where it remains today.
